Upcoming Trips:

Guild sponsored trips, in addition to providing an opportunity to travel to new places and return to favorite haunts, are a major fundraising effort in the Guild's pledge to support the Asheville Symphony.

Anne Holt, the Guild’s travel chair, offers this update on forthcoming trips. A portion of each trip will benefit the Symphony. All trips include airfare from Charlotte, accommodations, tours and most meals. Prices are based on double occupancy, but single and triple rates are also available.

•    Australia and New Zealand, October 25-November 9, 2007, featuring Melbourne, Phillip Island, Little Penguin Parade, Cairns, Great Barrier Reef, Sydney Opera House, Queenstown, Milford Sound, Mount Cook National Park, and Christchurch. Price: $4,529.

•    Canada’s Winter Wonderland, November 25-December 1, 2007, via Rail Canada’s Snow Express, with stays at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, and the Fairmont Banff Springs. Price: $1,999.

•    California New Years and Rose Bowl Parade with optional Las Vegas extension, December 29-January 2, 2008. Price: $1,819.

•    Kingdom of Thailand, January 23-February 5, 2008, highlighting Bangkok, Grand Palace, Ayutthaya, Chiang Mai, Teak Forest, Maesa Elephant Camp, and the Hill Tribe Village. Price: $2,099.

•    Reflections of Italy, March 31-April 9, 2008, with sightseeing in Rome, Assisi, Perugia, Siena, San Gimignano, Florence, San Marino, Venice, Murano Island, and Como. Price: $2,759.
