Music Education in the Schools

The “Music Education in the Schools” program is intended to supplement and support the work done by Buncombe County and Asheville City public school music teachers.  The Guild’s acclaimed project brings live musical performances of brass, woodwinds, and strings to ALL Asheville City and Buncombe County 3rd through 5th grade students. Musicians discuss and demonstrate their instruments and play a variety of musical selections.

Scholarships for Summer Music Camp

Each spring the Guild’s Music Education Committee offers scholarships for middle and high school instrumental music students in Western North Carolina to attend Mars Hill Summer Music Camp.  Full scholarships will cover tuition, optional campus housing, activities and meals, and one private music lesson.
