Music Education in the Schools

The “Music Education in the Schools” program is intended to supplement and support the work done by Buncombe County and Asheville City public school music teachers.  The Guild’s acclaimed project brings live musical performances of brass, woodwinds, and strings to ALL Asheville City and Buncombe County 3rd through 5th grade students. Musicians discuss and demonstrate their instruments and play a variety of musical selections.

Scholarships for Summer Music Camp

 

Each spring the Guild's Music Education Committee offers full scholarships for middle and high school students to attend the WNC Summer Music Camp at UNC-Asheville, which takes place in June.  Look for scholarship information and application forms at this online site starting in February, 2010.
