Welcome to Asheville Symphony Guild Musical Feast Events!

Welcome to the Asheville Symphony Guild’s Musical Feasts!  Musical Feasts are “parties with a purpose” that give us all opportunities to attend very special events while we assist the Guild with its largest annual fundraising effort.  Musical Feasts, hosted by Guild members and local businesses are open to anyone wishing to attend.  All funds raised by the Feasts are donated directly to the Guild.  Reservations are handled on a first-come, first-served basis and can be made by mailing a check to:

NOTE:  For currently ‘sold-out’ Feasts, names accompanied by payment will be added to the waiting list. Openings often occur, since many events are scheduled far in advance.   For a Musical Feast booklet with reservation form, call the Symphony office at 254-7046. 


Music Changes Lives Opening Gala   
September 11        6:00 p.m.    $65


Lovely opening party in at the Loomis home in Biltmore Forest – great food and outstanding young musicians Chambers and Kiffen Loomis.  Black tie optional

BBQ and Line Dancing at Claxton Farms      
September 22    5:00 p.m.    $50
Slow smoked BBQ and professional (but easy and fun!) line-dancing instruction at Claxton Farm’s stunning venue. No partners needed for this popular style of dancing.  

Bach to Bock                    
October 3        5:30 p.m.    $45

Trolley tour, from vat to tap, of several of “Beer City’s terrific breweries complete with German dinner and polka music by accordionist Christopher Laughter.

Dinner in the Depot               
October 8        6:00 p.m.    $50

Re-creation of dinner in a train dining car at the beautifully restored 1902 Southern Railway Depot in Hendersonville. Tour the 1800 foot miniature train layout.

River Arts Studio Brunch           
October 9        1:00 p.m.    $40

Champagne and local delicacies in Michael Hofman’s studio in Asheville’s thriving River Arts District. Explore Michael’s process in creating his fine handbuilt porcelain pieces.

Reems Creek Reverie

Private harp concert by Lelia Lattimore in orchid and art-filled historic home, Bright Clearing, in Reems Creek Valley.

An Austrian Wine Tasting Journey

Tour The Boggs Collection and learn about hand-crafted furniture – view demonstrations of wood bending and sculpting.  Wine and hors d’oeuvres.

Holiday Pops Brunch

Festive (and delicious) “pre-concert’ brunch, including a holiday sing-a-long and live music. Scheduled to allow time for guests to attend the Symphony’s special Holiday Pops concert.

Walking in Memphis

An all Elvis evening, on his would-be 77th birthday.  Elvis food favorites, clothes, trivia, and music.  Get your photo taken with “The King!”

Moog Music’s New Digs

Music in the Mansion

Private concert by outstanding young musicians in the Winter Garden of the Biltmore Estate.  Private time in the chateau’s first floor after the concert, followed by post-concert party at private Biltmore Forest residence.

Trolley tour of French Broad River, narrated by RiverLink’s Executive Director.  Return to RiverLink office for historical displays, elegant hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer.  Tour artist studios above RiverLink office.

Farm to Table – Asheville Style!

Intimate elegant dinner featuring local and organic foods, from martinis with organic vodka to wonderful seasonal dessert. Asheville Symphony Orchestra’s Children Chorus will perform.


Waterfalls and Wildflowers at Big Creek      
April 23      9:00 a.m.- 3:30 p.m.        $35

Expertly led nature tour of the Big Creek area of the Smokies (1 hour away). Choice of two mile or four mile hike.  Lunch, including vegetarian options, provided.

Color Magic               
April 26    5:00 p.m.    $35

Demonstration and tutorial about color dynamics and impact of color by Ambiance Interiors’ owner Kathryn Long. Sparkling wine and delicious treats by Cassie Dillon, including chocolate fondue.

Swing for Strings

Two hours of tennis at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown with a tasty gourmet picnic, beer, wine.  Non-tennis players can use the pool and fitness center.

Julep Time – A Derby Party to Love

Kentucky Derby party at the gorgeous Biltmore Forest home of Barbra and Keith Love.  Friendly wagering, thrill of the race, authentic Kentucky dinner buffet, mint Juleps.

High Tea and Heavenly Views       
May 17    4:00 p.m.    $35

Young musicians perform at Nancy and Ron Edgerton’s elegant house atop Reynolds Mountain.  High tea treats, tea leaf readings, custom “fascinator” drawing.
