Mozart's "Jupiter" Symphony
April 14, 2012 · Thomas Wolfe Auditorium · 8:00pm
Stravinsky The Soldier’s Tale Attack Theatre Mozart Symphony No. 41 “Jupiter”
In April, modern dance troupe Attack Theatre will make a return to the Thomas Wolfe stage in a scintillating new production of Stravinsky’s brilliant fable of a man who sells his soul to the devil - The Soldier’s Tale. We will complement this path-breaking music with that of another genius: Mozart’s “Jupiter” Symphony. With his final symphonic essay, Mozart produced a work that is as melodious as it is expertly-crafted. It is imbued with a spirit and a zest for life that to this very day continues to win-over hearts and minds.
