This season we are highlighting our efforts in music education, and our October concert will take you back to those first wonderful scores you heard as a child. But now you are all grown-up, and can enjoy Dukas’ fantastical musical imagination, Britten’s brilliance showcasing the families of the orchestra, and Debussy’s sensuous instrumental tapestry in a whole new light. We are also pleased to feature our own Concertmaster, Jason Posnock, as soloist performing Prokofiev’s fascinating 2nd Violin Concerto. All together, it should prove to be an evening of musical favorites that sound just as fresh to us today as when we first heard them.
